Ethel is an index of Contemporary Artists. It is not an open directory. Every application will be reviewed individually against verifiable criteria: accredited education, experience, gallery representation, or demonstrated public following (Instagram, sales history, press). Ethel does not evaluate personal taste or artistic style. Acceptance is based only on documented notability. All applications are reviewed without regard to race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or national origin. Incomplete or unverifiable information will delay review. Applications remain pending until reviewed; not all applicants are accepted or waitlisted.
